Cleanse & Organise Data

To simplify the process of populating the system with pre-existing data sets, a preferred set of data fields has been defined which is a truncated version of the complete NRSR system data field set.

The complete set of NRSR system data fields will be available from the outset, however the initial focus should be on identification and design type data important for registration. 

The NRSR Initial Data Input Template (see below) contains 2 tabs:

1. NRSR Initial Data Fields tab lists the data fields and describes them in terms of
   • Category
   • Requirement
   • Units
   • Field types
   • List values
2. Import Template tab provides a template for organising existing data sets into

The list values in the NRSR Initial Data Input File are the list values that will be present in the NRSR system at launch. Where data sets contain alternate list values, import will still be able to proceed and then in the list field mapping step the alternate list values can be mapped or added to the system.

The NRSR Initial Data Input Template provides data owners with a tool to organise data pre-import. It is not critical though as the CSV import tool and subsequent field mapping process will facilitate the import of any CSV data set.
